Thinking about ordering the American flag version. Don't want the static cling even though it's cheaper because I understand it pretty much blocks all the light. The Cooperflags version acts like a darker window tint, allowing the sun to lighten up the interior but with less intensity. Installed Cooperflags bonnet stripes and it was an easy job....just followed the directions. I assume the sunroof cover goes on like window tint?

OK, the stripes went on easy cause my wife helped.

Sorry, I went static cling. When it's nice out, my sunroof is always open so I get plenty of light and in the winter, I'll be taking the flag off so it doesn't get damaged when I brush snow off the roof. So I'll still get plenty of light.

That said, I have heard that the Cooper Flags sunroof decals are really easy to install. 15 minute DIY job!

Good luck!

I Love mine!

Cooperflags and I designed the "Coat of Arms" logo (see their site), and I love everything about their product. Couldn't be any happier!

I have the Silver Union Jack, which covers the entire roof, but is perforated on the sunroof part. I love it....it cuts down on passive solar heating during the summer. Unless one gets into the car and looks up, one can't tell that it's perforated...from the outside, it still looks solid. Mine is the adhesive type and I had it installed, cuz I'm not much of a DIYer when it comes to cars.

I'm wavering about whether to join Jerseygirl's solid white vinyl group buy or go with the Cooper Flags perforated version.

Any thoughts on perforated vs. solid? I'm in FL, so taking it off in the winter's not an issue. Does the solid vinyl make it really dark in the car?

I wouldn't say it makes the inside of the car dark. It's hard to describe... Yeah, it's not perforated so you can't see through it but it's not 100% opaque either. On a sunny day when you look up at my sunroof from in the car, it looks brighter than it does on a cloudy day. I guess what I'm saying is it's not see-through but it's certainly not like having a solid roof either.

Of course how "dark" or "light" something is is subjective. For me it's great, but for you and some others maybe they feel it cuts out too much light.

Though in Florida, I'd think that would be a good thing, especially in the summer.
