Hoen dLED_3 city light and chromium signal bulb install

Just installed Hoen's dLED_3 city light (to replace the w5w city light) and Chromium 7507 signal bulb. Here are pics of the bulbs. The LED bulb definitely has a much more 'pin-pointed' light pattern than the factory halogen bulb, but the combination of the two bulbs removes all amber reflection inside the housing. Pictures are attached below. The pics make the HID headlights look a little yellow, and while most of that is an artifact in the picture, the LEDs definitely look a little more 'pure' white than the HIDs when viewed in person, but its a very slight difference at best. These pics were taken quickly with my iPhone, if people are interested, I'll gladly post better quality pics.

Hi - Do the Hoen dLED_3 city lights give the dreaded bulb out warning message?

Nope. They have been specifically designed so that they will create the same current draw as the factory halogen bulbs. I have been using them since November without any issues. They work great, fit really tight in the socket and I haven't had any short circuit or temperature issues.

However, 1st gen MINI doesn't even have any bulb out warnings (except for turn signals that warn by flashing fast), so any other LED replacement would have also worked.

Can you take a closeup pic of how the housing looks w/ the bulb off?

Thank you both for the quick reply. Yeah...I noticed after I posted that this was on a 1st gen. I'll need to keep searching before I plunk down the ~$40 for the Hoen's.

The Hoen website doesn't say that the bulbs won't cause bulb out warnings. In the Audi forum they say these bulbs do cause warning lights: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?327377-Hoen-dLED-City-Lights-Now-Forward-Firing!&p=4799562&viewfull=1

As I said, it is not an issue for 1st gen MINI. I don't know whether 2nd gen gives warnings for the parking light.
