I was quoted delivery around mid December wh I put my deposit down on October 8th. Well guess what...the car is built already, on a ship that left Southampton dock for NYC today!

I estimate the car will be at the dealership in about two weeks, alomst one month in front of the quote. Is this typical? (Maybe I should move to the 'waiting for November Club? )

As you can tell from my sig, I'm in the November club.

It's not out of the question to get your car ahead of schedule. I originally was quoted 10/31 for my build date, but it got moved up to 10/17. It was less than two weeks between placing the order and the car being built.

I wasn't really given an estimate about delivery from the dealer; they just said 6-9 weeks. Now that the car is about to reach port in the US, my estimated delivery date in the Owner's Lounge is 11/16. That's almost exactly 6 weeks from order to delivery.

I think they've made filling custom orders ASAP more of a priority, in response to the high volume.

Oh, and if you're just leaving Southampton today, three weeks is probably more likely. Basically, the closer to NY you are, the sooner you'll get it.

Feel free to join the November thread!

Well I'm only abut 15 miles from the shipping terminal so that should help. I think I need to ramp up my program to sell my Mercedes and Chevrolet

I just checked the status of my IB/W MINI, which I ordered on October 4th, and it has already been built and is awaiting transport. The original quote for the build date was November 14th. Looks like MINI has a pretty efficient production schedule. Cool!

I, too, have jumped ship (pun intended) and am now in the November Club. The Tosca docks tomorrow in NY and on Thu in SC, where my MINI will disembark. My MA says I should take delivery by the end of Nov at the latest.

You might check your VIN at the shipping website: http://213.31.205.37/GLWebApps.AppTracking.

The Mini Owners Lounge lists me as "awaiting transportation"; the shipping site show my Indi Blue MCS as loaded on the Jingu Maru, one day out of Southampton. This shipment hits NY on November 12th.

We may have moved into the "Cant wait 4 November" Club.

Everyone come join the Can't Wait 4 Nov Club ! ! !

And the W/W Cargo tracking site is having some trouble today so don't panic!!!

and the time frame I was given when I paid my deposit was "by the end of Nov" then later he said "By Thanksgiving" .... Then I got my production date, then it was moved up a week. My MINI was built and 2 days later loaded on a ship! where some cars are built and wait a week or longer for a ship. My MINI got to Charleston,SC and it spent 6 days there and one day on a truck getting it to San Antonio Texas. so in the end, I'm getting my car TODAY (YES TODAY) and to me that's like 3 weeks early!

CONGRATS! The end of the month seems to far away.

I just looked at the weather chart showing the Jingu Maru's location, and she's sitting on the edge of a big low pressure system south of Greenland. I hope that skipper knows his business. No "Perfect Storm", please.

Hey TimO'Fiji, we're on the same ship. RaiderZA, is your MINI pigging out at the same midnight buffet ?

Yeah, and I thought it was PETS that were supposed to resemble their owners. OBTW, did you see the big, honking low pressure system the Jingu Maru was sitting on top of? 35 kt winds this morning at 7:00 a.m. eastern time. Hope that Captain knows his business!

Hey Savage65,

Just curious, but how is your status listed at the OL? I'm still showing "awaiting transportation" despite the fact I've been transporting for three days now. Wonder how often they update.

I was quoted late Nov to early Dec when I ordered my MCS in June but it cam the first week of Oct. Caught me a bit by surprise. I had to scramble for financing. I am not complaining I just was surprised and what a great surprise it was.
