Thoughts...
Coming out to your car to find a smashed window and missing GPS and Sirius is not a good way to spend a smoke break at work. Guys, make sure you all can hide your stuff/take it with you. Most of all keep serial numbers for all parts. Probably won't do much, but it could help.

Questions...
My dash was destroyed! I have a CF one in transit somewhere between Holland and St. Louis. How do you replace the panel over the airbag? Can the airbag be removed?

Concerns...
This was a secure garage. No matter how safe you guys think your stuff is, be vigilant. I'm thrilled to know that a $1200 GPS was likely flipped for crack.

Does your car have the 3 piece dash or the more piece dash? On the, uh 5?, piece dash I believe that the airbag door can be removed without messing with the module itself. I had it all apart a while ago, but I think I left that cover attached to it's straps. For the 3 piece, I have no idea. What was the cut off for those anyway?

2005 I think. I have a 5-piece (2004). My GF hates my car so I'm almost always alone in it. I really would like to just remove the airbag if possible. But I mostly need to just figure out the cover.

sorry to here about your loss, I think youve given sound advice. Dont leave anything in plain view in your car that could be an incentive for a thief to break in.

So to hell the folks that broke into my car. here's a before and after collage because I was just that bored. I haven't been able to go to school due to a kidney stone - worst pain I've EVER felt - and once I take the pain meds I can't read or do much without getting sick. But in the garage the worst thing I can do is throw up, so I fixed some stuff... Still to come are a pair of Sparco harnesses, a JCW alcantara e-brake boot, and hopefully at some point a new GPS. Insurance determined over $1100 in damage + $1000 for items stolen.
