Driving Lights installed today

I wanted these ever since I bought my car last year. I got them today. I went in for my annual free service and decided to get them.
I like them.

Looks great!

I would like to get them someday too.

How do you operate them? Is there a separate switch in the cabin to turn them on or do they come on with the daytime running lights or when you turn on the headlamps?

Yeah those lights grow on me. When I started checking out Minis I didn't like them, but I think it was because it seemed like everyone had them and tried to outdo each other, sorta like the B&W checkered stuff that a lot of R53s have. But when tastefully done they do look cool. Nice mod.

nice man. i want tom get me some driving lights of my own for my R50, but the factory lights, the alta, and whatever other packages/kits are available cost way too much for me. im thinking about just buying some Hella 500s and some brackets lol. diy ftw

There is a switch to the left of the steering wheel that you press and it activates the lights. They will only come on with you flip your high beams on though. I'm sure you could wire them independently though, although you'd probably blind other motorist.

there are other kinds of lights that come with a relay switch that work independently where you can turn on and off the lights whenever you want. like Hella's driving lights w/o brackets have that option. those are the lights i want to get for myself because they're way way cheaper than the factory driving light kit, the alta light bar with lights kit, and anything else lol

I love the look of the Driving Lights. My first were wired to come on only if the high beams were engaged. My second set I asked the dealer to wire them come on independently of the other lights. Now I can spot light Possums at will.

Ps. Love your Corgi
