Ok so I am not saying I wont use my spare tire but I hope I wont. But I wanted to know considering that the Cooper vs the Cooper S is a bit different on the underside. Does anybody have any idea on if it is possible to do a conversion from the regular JAC bumper to the Cooper S rear bumper w/ cooper s exhaust.
You will likely loose power by switching to an S exhaust. Since your Cooper just doesn't need the extra diameter gained from the S exhaust. Just sayin'
Do the bumper with a custom exhaust. with like a 2.25in exhaust. You might have to do some modification but it will work. If you were in Florida I owuld tell you to comne over and we could see exactly what you would need to do
I was gonna do the S bumper too, but I think it would look way better to cut a hole in the other side of the bumper with dual exhaust to look like the Clubman S. Cut out the resonator and get new mufflers. Then you won't have to deal with getting and painting a whole new bumper.

There is no different on the underside of the the MC and MCS structurally. The MC just has a spare and the exhaust flashing off to the passenger side. The bumpers can be swapped without any issues. In order to swap the exhaust you would need the bumper(or modified MC valance) and the two rear hangars(mounts and holes are already there once you remove the spare) along with the MCS exhaust which is an easy switch. No power will be lost since both the MC and MCS have secondary cats and the internals of both mufflers are the same(two horizontal tubes). The diameter is only 1/4" larger on the MCS. Now if you want to bump up the power save up for an OBX or Supersprint header combined with a remap. Check this thread out.
Chad where did you find your header and the UPsolute tune? Thanks!
Drew
I bought the Supersprint a year ago for a premium price only because it was the only setup available for the N12 engine. OBX now has a header that's much more affordable and is basically the same design(4-1). Here's the link for UPsolute.
