Did anyone else notice that alta jacked up their prices the second day of this sale? The black dual tip for the r56 before the price increase was 375 now its 500 after discount.....whats the deal alta?

Okay, I thought I was seeing things for a bit. I must have seen the same thing, except I remember seeing it with other products.

 

I didn't even realize that. I got the oval tip for 300, which I guess was before the increase. Hopefully most people got theirs in early

 

I went to buy the stubby (original price showed $27.99) then when I came back to the computer to make my purchase, magically the original price was $29.99. Bought it and emailed them asking them to refund me the difference.

UMMMM... Their advertisement says "50% off on ALL Alta products". Went to the site and it says "coupon code good for 50% off MOST Alta products". Very misleading. Went to buy a IC diverter and they have lowered the price to $149.99 from $184.99...not 50% off and the site will not accept the discount code on this item...

Alta, I want my diverter for the advertised $92.49..which reflects 50% off the regular price. Please PM me on details how to get the advertised discount.

After reading your post I went back to the Alta site and everythings been changed around again (3 hrs later ) and guess what...... For the first time ever me thinks, there are NO IC diverters listed now..... One way to not sell them at half off...

Probably sold out......Please....

 

On friday you could have gotten it for $52.

I noticed the exact same thing, they bumped up the prices after friday night. i had the catback twin exhaust, intercooler, suspension kit, CAI and boost tubes in my cart for about $1200 if i remember correctly and come monday i went and added it all back in my cart (im just window shopping haha) and its now its $1552.

altho all things considered everyone should be grateful that they are extending the 50% off sale longer. even if some items went up a bit. i popped on the site for the first time sence the summer and saw the sale and my jaw hit the floor when i saw the one day left thing. $1500 is still better then the $3000 i almost spent this summer on all the same parts.

 

Damn...and I was out of town on Friday! Oh well, $100 is still good to me.

I just went to the site and on one page it lists a discount code of AS5FTW, on another it lists AS59FTW. everytime I try to order the spline wheel locks it discounts it then changes it back to list price when it comes time to pay. What gives?

 

However you slice it this is a good deal. Yes they uped their prices but with the 50% off you are ahead of the game. Now if only I had the money to get some endlinks and an Intercooler.

 

its not a good deal, no better than the 18% sales they have been running, their catbacks for the r56 are up to 999.99! what gives who would have ever payed that for their catback and the r56 intercooler is up by over 150$ and now the coupon wont even apply for that one.

 

i bought everything i wanted!
only got a intake tube, intercooler couplers and a tensioner stop
got it all at half off..
did they only jack up their more expensive items?

oh well, i still feel like a got a really good deal on everything

 

I just read Alta's vendor announcement explaining the price increases. They said they raised all the prices up to MSRP... So no its not really 50% off anymore because I don't remember seeing MSRP on any of their products before...

 

That's not shady or anything. Alta seems like they have really been going downhill over the last year or so.

 

A sale is a sale. If it 5% off or 99% off it's a deal and right now wih the way the economy is we should all be happy Alta is still give a discount.

 

Not happy with ALTA after purchasing the intercooler diverter on Saturday for ~$80 and then getting an email today saying they discontinued it. Seems like their changing their minds with prices. Bait and switch...

Yesterday morning they were still for sale on the site for $149.99... Shame they discontinued them........best thing they ever made. Bet by popular demand they'll bring them back when all this is over, used to think Alta was one of the better vendors..

 

I bet Alta is just super busy and they are at full capacity or something. I can't believe they discontinued their diverter. Perhaps they meant to say they are out of stock?
