Picked up an '09 today!!!!!
Hello from Southern California!
I picked up an '09 dark grey MCSa today. This is my first Mini, and I am extremely excited about it. I picked it up from the Mini Dealership in Monrovia CA, and I had a very good experience.
Hopefully tomorrow I will have lots of errands to run!
The dealer did not have anyone on site to install my racing stripes, so they are sending somebody out to my house to install them tomorrow. I will post some pics once I have the stripes on.
I didn't see it in the owner's manual, but what should I do about breaking in the engine? It is an auto, so I don't have much control over the RPM's. I assume I should just keep my speed down, and try not to drive too much at a constant speed????
EDIT: I just found this thread on engine break-in and I am going to follow its suggestions. It sounds like a lot more fun than the standard break-in instructions!

Minis are fun. Question about break-in is pretty well answered on this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-odometer.html

New picture...I added a medium tinting to my windows. Also did my fist mod, the front/back speaker channel switch. Great upgrade to the stock stereo system.
I also order the M7 Strut Reinforcement plates. I am sure other mods will follow, lol.
