Just got a 2007 MCS with JCW packages

2007 19K 6MT Astro Black MCS with rooster red interior. JCW Tuning kit 1, JCW aero kit, JCW suspension, JCW slotted rotors, JCW 18" wheels, amongst other things.

Paid $21.5 for it from a guy here in Annapolis.

Car is a blast to drive. Not looking to do much with it at this point, maybe blackout beltline trim and some little things here and there.

Here is a picture from the sellers ad.

Good deal. If you ever get sick of that spoiler, I'll trade ya for my MC spoiler.

Not yet, will take some after I clean it up. Previous owner wasn't the cleanest person.

Thanks guys. Apparently the seller was feeling the effects of the economy and wanted out of the car payment, timing couldn't have been better. He had it listed for $25K.

Anyone know where I can get the headlight/tail light rings color matched or blacked out?

Couple questions:

1. Does this car get hotter because of the sunroof? It seems the car is hot as hell when I get in it after its been in the sun for a while. Granted no tint yet but I may just not be used to not having it. But I also think because of the panoramic roof it just adds to it?
2. Has anyone tinted the sunroof and has it made a difference?
3. Also, pin stripes are vinyl that the dealer put on, how hard are they to remove?

1) Yes, I think more heat enters the car because of the enormous sunroof as opposed to cars with smaller sunroofs and more interior volume.

2) I tinted 2 out of 4 of my minis (2 were convertibles... ) I tinted them with 20% tint. REALLLLLY helps. I was told there have been cases of people having sunroofs shatter because the tint makes the glass expand/contract at different rates but it's few and far between.

Having said that, there's probably just as many cases (if not more) of mini's sunroofs shattering with NO TINT.

3) Pinstripes are easily removable. A heat gun and/or an eraser wheel will take it right off.

HTH's,

Mark
