This is in respone to the "one thing that drives you nuts about your MINI!" thread. I would like to know the one little perk you appreciate so much about your mini!!

As for me, I think the air vents are the best design of air vents I've ever seen in any car I've driven. I think they're so great because there's not like 3 different ***** for different directions, it's all-in-one! Also, they're very easy to close if one person doesn't want the air on them, and they close pretty tightly.

So... how 'bout everyone else?

 

Great idea for a thread! I would have to say I love the MINI uniqueness in design and customization options. Not only is it different from most other cars, my MINI is different from most other MINIs too.

 

My favorite perk is the attention. I love all the stares, smiles, and waves I get.

 

I love when I put my foot on the gas, it goes! I never thought I'd like a red car, but this car gives me energy I never thought I had. I squeal my tires in the drive through at MD's!

Some people may not like it, but I like the torque steer. Its like my Mini's saying to me,"Go ahead and have fun, but do something stupid and I'm gonna bite you in the behind." I also love the low rumble when slowly accelerating from a stop from the turbo and JCW kit. It's like a sweet little docile bulldog who'll show you its teeth if you poke it.

 

I love that my MINI is not an R56.

Speaking seriously here, I love the supercharger wine.

 

I love the sound of the turbo and the exhaust and the fact that when you hit the gas you go...fast. It's my little blue british rocket. LOL

 

I bought the car because it was extremely fun to drive and quite unique, especially where I live. I always get looks from people when I wizz by them on the interstate. Also like the huge variety of color combos the Minis have. There are a great number of roof/stripe/body color combos, making each Mini unique in itself

 

A little perk that i have come to enjoy are the steering wheel buttons are mounted on the back. Nice design. I was happy with my Mazda's MFSW until I got the Mini.

Bigger perk was initially finding them after having the "new to me" 04 for more than two weeks...

 

No monthly payment.

I love the handling, the looks it gets, the questions, etc. But as I have been reading the posts lately, now I realize, it is the people. Some have issues, but most have heart. This post below just brings that all out.

TURBO POW-AH!!!!!!

 

I'd have to say feeling ONE with the Machine. I haven't felt like that since I owned a Lotus in the early 70's BC. You sit IN it, not ON it. It just fits.

I'm supposed to pick one thing I like about my MINI...?
let me think.

The feeling of being IN it. I love the looks (inside n out) but it's more than that. The way it responds to corners. Has some nice pep for a 115 hp 1.6L. It's very smooth - all the way around. Plus, I do enjoy my color scheme (black & white) mmm...classy!

 

Oh, and more importantly...driving is no longer a chore. It's an adventure!
