Tap sound after CAI install

After installing my ALTA CAI and turbo inlet tube I now have some great turbo sounds (the reason I went with a CAI) but also now hear a tap sound of metal on metal just after moderate to hard accleration. Has anyone else experienced this? I first thought it might be hitting the hood but have ruled that out. ALTA thought it might be hitting the firewall but I have yet to determine where.

I moved the clamp screw shown in the first picture so that it's not so close to the firewall but still hear the sound.

OO OOO I have an idea. Put some vaseline along the seal of the airbox on the firewall side and then go for a run....see if it transfers vaseline to the firewall. done!

Have you removed your generator? I was planning on installing an ALTA FMIC this weekend and the hot side tube. What did you use to block off the hose?

Thanks, I'll try that one this evening after work.

I had the same isue with my alta CAI and Adam from Alta told me about the sound generator, You just need to plug in the cilinder that comes with your CAI, if you dont have it just call Adam, he will send you one.
