Lucy's doppelganger has arrived
When I dropped by the MINI dealership to pick up some stuff, I was shocked, shocked to see they have another EB/B S with racing stripes! It even has a sunroof! I knew that Lucy probably had identical siblings on the mainland and stuff, but I really liked that she was the only EB/B/RS S on the island (I assumed she was, anyway). Ah well. Hopefully whoever buys the Lucy twin will be living on the windward side or something and I'll never see it. Of course, I could get some purty pictures painted on Lucy somewhere, and then she'd be unique no matter what ... but I've no idea what to get done.
Speaking of purty pictures, I have seen the SG/SG MINI with the turtles airbrushed on the sides, and I must say ... WOW!!! Those turtles look awesome. Anyone know who did those paintings??

This is exactly why we should go and do some mods on your Lucy to get her spiffed up and not like any other MINI far or wide. There is still time for plenty of that so just think about it for now.
Turtles on the sides? Sounds like Cosmic Airbrush the people that do all those nifty VW bug airbrush work.
I could have porpoises added to my doors for about $1500-2000 but then I would be always watching for door dings on my babies. The Indiblue would look like deep ocean water so the porpoises could be swimming in pairs on both sides.

???????????? I've never, ever heard that word to date.
In Hawaii we don't use the word too much but depending on what sorts of things you do read or see you might have ran across it a few times.
If you do computer games or Dungeons and Dragons then:
A Doppleganger is an evil shapechanger from the Dungeons and Dragons fantasy realm. It can take the form of any human sized animal that it sees. But, for you Commodore folks out there, you might remember Doppleganger from Abyss.
Or from the Montrous Compendium
http://www.vanhiel.com/daniel/creatu...e=Doppleganger
The doppleganger is a master of mimicry that survives by taking the shapes of men, demihumans, and humanoids. Dopplegangers are bipedal and generally humanoid in appearance. Their bodies are covered with a thick, hairless gray hide, which gives them a natural AC of 5. They are, however, rarely seen in their true forms.
Now for the next word.
Maybe since we live in Hawaii and as a play off "mimics or twins" lets try "Kagemusha"
see http://www.foreignfilms.com/films/1439.asp (don't peek if you want to figure it out yourself).
So my MINI has a Kagemusha running around so my assassins don't know where I truely am (I guess my license plates give it away-darn).

I saw Lil Beast yesterday with his new daddy at MINI of Hawaii. It brought a tear to my eye.
The adopted father was picking up parts from Daniel and loaded it up in Lil Beast and was off before I could say, "Hi!"

hey beastmaster...i just noticed upon finally taking notice of your sig that the background is of paiko's, i believe. that bird sanctuary lagoon/island place just across kuliouou beach park. i think that pic is taken from maunalua bay. just mentioning this cause i live right in niu valley, and i used to surf down at paiko's for a while. now i frequent the next few surf spots down toward aina haina side, right across hawaii loa ridge.
anyways, nice background pic.
