I'm referring to the power outlet in the boot here...ahem. I want to see this as an asset ( ), but I can't think of any uses besides charging the extra gadget or so. But, I usually have them up front.

I have a power converter I plug into the rear 12v. That way I can charge camera batteries as I drive. I'd rather have the power converter out of site, so I choose not to charge it in the front (no need for unncecessary visible clutter).

I use it to power a cooler I bought that either keeps things cold or hot.

I don't have one. Mine's just an old antiquated 03 model. Damn the luck, but if I had one....

Sounds pretty cool. Do you have a link to such an item? Keeping things cool seems like it would take a lot of power.

I use mine when I travel with my daughter, I plug the laptop in for the road trips and let her watch DVD's on the laptop. It stays powered and keeps her from asking "ARE WE THERE YET?"

It's on 2002's
It's not on 2003's
and
I'm not sure.... if it's now on 2004's

If it's there...as you are standing behind the car ...looking into the boot..it's in the left side just aboove the compartment for the tools.

Peace,
D

Is there a kit available for purchase to put one into my '03? I have no life or death need for it now, but it'd be nice to know it's available if I do find a need for one (the cooler or radar detector sounds good already)

yes I can confirm it is back for 04.
(and that's probably also why rrypma started this thread)
