Is this the next generation of the MINI?
A new secret MINI concept?
No, it is the new Suzuki concept.
Do you see any similiarities?

I see that the Suzuki company are really trying but I still think that our MINI is way better designe.

I guess others are trying to follow the MINI.
It looks so close....the side skirts, the fender
flares...like a Yellow MINI with body painted aero kit.

Whew, its a Suzuki. When I first saw that photo, I thought the folks at BMW/MINI had lost their minds. Its an obvious imitation (the sincerest form of flattery), but the styling is angular and sooooo cold (burrr).

Based on my experience with them, Suzuki does pretty good engineering, imitates other products as much as possible to produce a cheaper knock-off, and then leaves the product unsupported.

DEFINITELY ugly.

DEFINITELY a ripoff.

DEFINITELY actionable!

Hey, BMW, here's something WORTH suing over!

That one picture doesn't do the "Concept S," as its REALLY called, justice. So heres more:

IMO, its actually very interesting. A copy.. yyyeahh, but actually a quite pleasent one. The interior is kicka$$.

[I made comments in a similar thread earlier about the backside, I think I confused it with another attempt. This'n ain't too bad.]

It looks to me like the ugly offspring of a late night drunken tryst between a New Beetle and a Mini that should have known better.

OMG

I think that red car is ugly!

Where do I begin... interior -- UGLY
Exterior -- UGLY
Exhaust -- UGLY
Hood -- UGLY
Back end with the little window -- UGLY
Big Doors and small back windows -- UGLY

How do you spell ugly ?
U * G * L * Y

I know its from Japan, so why does it look like a low-rider version of a MINI?

The interior, esp that steering wheel, reminds me of the transformer toys my kids used to have.

If Professor Gadget owned a MINI it'd look like that.

UGH, not for me!

Watch out Aztec, Element and Scion! You've got competition for the most bizarre looking car on the road.

You could take those 4 and make a "Mr. potato car head" toy and have a great time as a car designer.

I really think whoever designed this car had a pic of the MINI in front of them when they designed it.

Look at the Nitendo control pads on the steering wheel - doesn't it look like the upcoming 3-spoke MFSW?
Look at the speedo / Tach - looks just like my car with Nav... and guess what, there's that big LCD screen where my NAV is.

The shape of the thing is definitely MINI-like......

Either that, or MINI hired the guy who designed this car to design their new 3-spoke MFSW.

CONCEPT S SITE

Check it out and make your own conclusions.

"The distinctive design of the “CONCEPT-S” gives this car a great impression of stability and safety, with its chunky body shape and its wheels located at all four corners of the body, a unique feature in this segment. In fact the car is only 3,65 metres long and 1.73 metres wide, with 18 inch wheels.
The on-board electronics, using very sophisticated technology, provide the driver with a multitude of adjustments for the car. "

"The “Concept-S” is fitted with a light and compact 1.6L DOHC non ¬turbocharged engine (4 cylinder, 16 valve) made entirely of aluminium. The permanent four-wheel drive, the sequential 6-speed “MTA” gearbox and the powerful engine give a truly sporty driving experience, with the “CONCEPT-S” benefiting from all the technology acquired by Suzuki through its participation in the super 1600 Junior World Rally Championship."

Overall length 3,650mm
Overall width 1,730mm
Overall height 1,450mm
Wheelbase 2,390mm
Seating capacity 4
Engine capacity 1,597cc
Engine type 4 cylinders DOHC NA
Number of valves 16
Type of driving wheel FULL TIME 4WD
Transmission MTA (Sequential 6speed)

I dono about that transmission, but the all-wheel-drive could be interesting if they did it right. Otherwise it look exactly like a MINI, except ugly.

Looks like a MINI gone Ricer!

Way too childish-looking. And the interior - I think I'd love it if i was 7!

They keep using the word "unique" when it's really not. They say
This powerful presence is also a result of the unique shape of the "wraparound window" with its concealed uprights
with its wheels located at the four corners of the body, a unique feature for a car of this size
It is full time 4wd...very impressive!!

I think if it has the suzuki price...
I will buy one just for fun.
If you look at the web page the part about the navigation systems is very impresive, basically you can program your car performance fron the controlls.
