Classic Mini STOLEN in MI

A friend of mine has his Classic Mini Stolen from his locked garage Friday 19th June. Waterford, MI
1967 Austin MK1
BRG/White
White 10in wheels
No dents or scratches on the body/paint
850cc
Vin # AA257L10056478

There is a cash reward offered.
There were other cars in the garage and in the driveway that were/are worth a lot more $$
so they(A-holes) knew what they were going to take.
If you hear/see this Mini up for sale let me know
Scott
I'll post photo's when i get them...

If you've got pictures, post them ASAP. Hopefully it'll be covered by his home insurance for replacement value.

That sucks BTW,
Jeff

I live in Lake Orion - not too far from Waterford. I know quite a few people that are into British cars and there are a lot of people at work that are following my rebuild project, so I will ask them to keep an eye open.....

I hate hearing about stuff like this!

The fact that it happened at all says something really *&%$$# about the perps and kind of what we've come to as a society. But closer to home, that's such a huge violation. I'm really sorry about it and hope that there's something positive about the outcome. Despite all the smiley faces, sometimes it's impossible to make lemonade from the lemons we've got to deal with.

My condolences to you.

Kind of an Amber Alert for a MINI. Another reason to have NAM. Hope we can find it before..., well, you know.

It would help immensely to get the VIN correct. The "5" in the prefix should be an S.

Many of these cars had the 5 mistakenly put down on the title or the vin plate as the incorrect letter/number. I've seen it a dozen times. that may be on the actual title or even the vin plate if made from the title and replaced during a restoration.

this has been posted to minimania.com/forums so it would be best if photos could be provided to that site as well, lets get this car found, Two have ben found from that site that I know of, a photo allows details to be shown especially if the car has been painted.

It's probably somebody you know very well.

I will bet that the thief is someone you know and has been in your house or garage at some point.

Keep an eye on canada too. They'll probably run it over the border to sell.
