Boost Tubes/Hardpipes/What?

I need someone to enlighten me on the various different silicon tubes that Alta and M7 offer and the hard pipes that exhaust depot and others sell.

I just don't get it! I think Alta sells all the tubes you can replace, but then I look at M7's tube and its shape is different than Alta's. Are they the same tube? Then with Exhaust Depot, are their hard pipes the same as what Alta sells? I'm confused.

If there is anyone that can outline the differences, I would greatly appreciate it!

Alta sells the Turbo Inlet Pipe, the Hot Side Pipe, and the Cold Side Pipe. The M7 pipe is just the Hot side pipe, and exhaust depot does the Hot Side Pipe, and the Cold Side Pipe.

Hot Side = Coming off of the turbo
Cold Side = Coming after the air flows through the Intercooler

So yes! The M7 and Alta Hot side pipes are pretty much the same thing, and the exhaust depot stuff is the same as the Alta Boost Tube Upgrade. Except it is hard pipe instead of Silicone.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the info! Isn't there a tube that replaces a stock tube which sends noise to the cabin? That's I guess on the cold side?

Yep! And you can leave it hooked up or take it out when you replace it. The Alta allows you to leave the soundmaker on, but the Exhaust Depot kit is just a direct piece that eliminates the soundmaker!
