For those who want to install AM HID... (lots of photos)

Hello folks,
I am glad that I eventually post something which is actually not a question.
For a long time I have been looking for headlights to make my mini brighter and nicer.
I realized that I want to get HIDs and angel eyes looking. I got a lot of info here "NAM". Thank you..
And I wanna say sorry for my English in advance; I am not native... :(

I had no experience with installing so I had to pay for it.

Here is my purchase list.

Projector U$ 204.97
HID kit U$ 180.00
E13 type LED light U$ 35.00
Installation fee + capacitors U$ 100.00
Tip U$ 5.00

Total U$ 524.97

I know that I could get it with cheaper price but again, I didn't spend any time on it.
I believe it is worthy for those who doesn't know anything about car or who wants to save time than money.

Here is the cheapeast price for exact same thing I got.

Projector U$ 129.99 + shipping fee U$ 40.00 = U$ 169.99 (ebay)
HID kit + capacitors = U$ 70 (auto shopping mall)
E13 (optional)

Total U$ 239.99
(wow.. less than half)

ebay sellers don't know about what they sell. I have a MC06. There is no projector for 06 in ebay though.
Those are all for 02~05 or 01~ 03.. according to the description on the web;
I asked about it to several ebay sellers who sells those and they said I can't apply those to my mini06.. but there is no problem with that.

Daylight looking

I love those have three circles inside. Those are not perfect fit but good enough; not easy to recognize.

At night

cut off.. frankly I'm not sure if this is great or not.
I think it's just okay...

The left and bottom one are in parking light status without E13 LED and the right one is with the LED light.

This is the LED light bulb I got from UK ebay; actually the guy worked on this got that. I needed something cooler than the one came with the projector.

Some more comprison shots with the LED

I didn't take photo of high beam since high beam is orangish color...

That is all... thanks for watching...

so your turnsignal is a bluish white? is that legal? isnt it supposed to be amber? Everything else looks different but not bad, that beam cut off isnt bad, but whats up with that strange beam pattern?

Um...

The LED lights are not turn signal and connected to parking light and actually it does not make any beam it just make bright around it like the angel eyes rings.
Turn signals are placed in the lower rings; those are orange.

The patterns are atually in the lense of projectors and I don't know why those exist. Maybe the garage door is too close to the lights? anyway when I am in the car at night I don't have any problem to see and recognize objects since those are very bright.

It is actually very bright; I can't even compare with the old one.

I didn't do any photoshop work except for resizing. It is much brighter than I expected. I hope this can help you.

btw, it's kind of downhill and my mini was just out from my garage; so it is not straight to the street and the lights towards sky but actually it's fine on the normal street.

hey visualworx nice work!!, i have the same lights for my 05 cooper s and like you said, you cant even compare the brightness!! i dont know how i drove at night before! i just hope they are durable now...

anyways, i left the turn signal alone, as there is no need for another one, but i kinda like ur idea of having that light turn on with the parking lights, where did you say you got that led bulb again and what exact color and type is it?

r u talking about the lights in the main headlights area?

thanks, if you're looking for the led lights in the headlights, you can look it up on UK ebay by using keywords like E13 LED cuz those led types are E13.. if you can't find those shoot me PM or email; I can ask to the guy who did install those for me.
