Idea for GPS mount

I was looking around in my R53 today about where I would like to mount a GPS unit that was out of the way but still pretty easy to see and came up with an idea.

On the sun roof switch panel there is a NICE BIG spot just begging for a GPS mount. It would be out of sight from snooping eyes yet easy to see and use for both driver and passenger. My only question is... is there switched power up there where I can hardwire the plug to? I doubt the clock would have enough to do it, but I don't know... Maybe the sunroof motor?

I am not 100% sure.. but I think you should be able to go off the clock. On my WRX I tapped the clock power to power my Radar detector, it worked great, and was switched.

Let me know how it works out.
