Besides the build in one? Just curious why you would want more wind deflected.

I know there is an OEM one but have never seen it. Sold at Outmotoring here http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...deflector.html.

After some research we finally broke down and purchased a removable wind deflector made by Weathertech. Didn't like the thought of changing the roof line but at cruise speeds we couldn't hear ourselves think with the sunroof open. After installing it we noticed a significant reduction in noise so much so we now cruise with the roof open. The Weathertec deflector is a quality product at about half the price of the OEM.

I did try a weather tech last year, but it wouldn't fit.
the one I got was flat and it would not fit the contour of the 07 roof.
besides, per their recommendation I had to remove the weather striping inside the sunroof and place the clips behind it, I wasn't too crazy about that. never had to do that in any other car when installing a wind deflector.

buzsaw, is your MCS an 07? and did the weather tech fit the roof contour?
the one I had was about 3/4" off the roof on both ends. looked liked it was for another car and they were selling it for the 07 mini???

swflaboy, the one outmotoring has seems to be more promising, though a bit pricy, do you have that one by any chance??

thanks for the info.

I too was concerned about the weather strip but on the installation the attachment of the seal was only disrupted about 3/4 of an inch and covered by the deflector. After close inspection of that strip, it appeared to me to be a gap seal and not a weather seal. When I initially placed the deflector on the roof, there was 1/4 inch gap at the attach points. My initial reaction was to warm it with a hair dryer to form it into position. But after securing the attach fittings and carefully torquing it down as per the instructions, everything fell into place. Anyway that's what work for me.

I am curious if there is a way to do something other than that net... it just catches bugs lol.

if i covered it in say, vinyl then it would get all smushed up when closed

any suggestions out there?

Somewhere on here I saw a picture of someone with "Please Move Over---->" on their deflector, reversed so that the people in front of you can read it in their rear view. I think that's an awesome idea and I really want to do that but I don't know what they used, and I was concerned about smushing it as well. Anyone have any info on that? (sorry to get off topic)
