I was driving on 17N in Rutherford and I saw it! A huge sign said Sonic comming here soon! It was after the BJ's but I think before Patterson Plank road. Definitely a mini drive in night when it opens. Wonder how long it will take to build? I will keep you posted.
WOW first 5 guys poping up all over Jersey now Sonic!

 

Ha ha! I'll be there a lot. The g/f misses them from Louisiana, she always wants to go on a road trip. We're going to the one in Wall on a trip next month, and I have a feeling we'll be in Rutherford a lot when this is built.

The one in the lowes shopping center in Rutherford is not open yet but depending where you are there is one in Hoboken on Washington St. and 1 in Hackensack in the Home Depot shopping center on Hackensack Ave. 1 in Wodbridge Mall.... Sonic 156 RT 17 North in Hasbrouck Heights is now open as of today... Tried to get there but everytime we came up to it the workers were blocking the entrance with "Lot Full" "Do not stop" signs and we couldn't get in. We tried at 12:30Pm and again at 3:00pm It made RT 17 right lane a little crazy about a 1/4 mile from it. I'm thinking since it's open 6am - 12 midnight I mighht go about 10pm.

 

You should do a drive by...Send the passenger in with the list...go around the block or jug handle...drive by and pick up the passenger or goodies...whichever comes first

 

I love Sonic's blended root beer floats.

 

Drive by.... and miss the whole Sonic experience? It's not so much the food as much as the drive in bell hop fun.

 

The signs when up today for the Sonic on Rt 46 East in Little Falls, NJ. Looks like a week or so away from an opening.

9:00 AM on 3 Jul 09...Temporarily disguised as a New Beetle Convertible...

Pulled up to SONIC and ordered Java Chiller, Breakfast Burritos, Burgers, Onion Rings, Tater Tots, Bubblegum Slushy, Corndog Kids Meal.

17N past the Volvo Dealership before the Teterboro Airport Turn. Do Not Bring Your MINI...They did not pave the entrance from the road...It is still gravel and has a big dip when you exit SONIC...

SONIC opens 6:00AM till Midnight and serve both sides of the menu...there is no time for breakfast or lunch.

It was good...no...GREAT!

 

Bell Hops were on Roller Blades...too
