Hi, i have been searching and searching on how to do the joey mod but i cant find anything relevant to myself.

I have a 2001 mini cooper with pre facelift halogen headlights. I cant seem to find anything to help me understand on how to open them for the joey mod.

I started a thread a month or so ago about the Joey Mod. "DrPhil" was kind enough to write up a How-to for the facelift xenon headlights. This sunday I will be opening mine up (facelift halogens) and prepping them for paint. Ill also be doing a How-to.

the pre facelift are much harder to open in open piece, get yourself some facelift halogens, much easier and a better look imo

 

This is the how-to for the facelift halogen's. Im putting mine together this arvo so should have the how to finished tonight.

Forget about doing this to pre-facelift headlights. I did it and regret it for several reason. The adhesive is extremely strong and the housing itself is not.
