Great movie for MINI lovers

I just got the new version of the italian job on blue-ray DVD. It was really a good film.
I never have seen the 1969 version yet but I was told that they are two different story lines.
It is a must see movie for any Mini-Cooper enthusiast as they star 3 BMW Mini's plus a Classic Mini as well.
I'm going to look for a DVD of the 69 version the next time I go to the mall or Walmart.

Good luck finding it...I got mine online. Just not enough demand for stores to stock it.

I got my copy of the original Italian Job on Amazon for like $4...granted, it was used, but it's in great shape, and $4, you can't beat that! Try Amazon first!

I also found my copy of the original movie online.

In the new film I can tell you are a REAL Mini enthusiast since you didn't even MENTION Charlize! The bonus material said that she was one of the better drivers of the group! She can drive MY Mini any time!

We did participate in the Italian Job Rally last summer, visiting most of the shooting locations for the new film.. Some pretty good roads to be had on the overlooks surrounding the San Fernando Valley. The Helicopter scene was under the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion!

Of course we had to start with the canals..of Venice, Ca.. A long event but it was fun!

The original is a great comedy; the new one is a good thriller with some good stunt driving. Avoid Nobel Son, that movie was a stinker... plus the "Mini chase" was a joke.

I saw a documentary about the making of the modern Italian Job. They said the Minis used in the film were 'basically' OEM cars with little modifications for the stunts.

I wonder how much GOLD my Clubby could carry?

Hmmm... I wonder what car will be featured in that movie? Not that this would ever happen but... I would love a movie to feature the new design for the VW Beetle that is being kept under wraps.

I love my MINI... am I allowed to love other vehicles too?
