im pretty sure you wouldnt be able to put in any other bulb size without modification..which i would not personally do cause i wouldnt want to mess up my housing..

h7's are pretty much the only thing you can put in there

and 6000k has a different hue depending on the company..
my friend had 5000k and it was white with a very tiny hint of purple..
and then he got 6000k and it was white with a blue hue to it..so like a veryy light blue
6000k is the most popular (i think) color so i'd say go for it

Just get H7 HID bulbs, don't risk messing up your housing using the incorrect hardware.

hey guys thanks for the heads up im likely going with 55w ballast , ignitors , h7's and 6000k as for the housing im going with the mossmini angel eye projectors....all is being done because my halogens were junk and not strong enough for the windsheild tint im gonna get done .

FYI 6000k is not going to be as bright as 4300k. The kelvin rating doesn't mean that it's going to light up the road better, it's just the color hue.

your going to tint your windshield? I got pulled over in your state once and ticketed for 8 infractions... Id hate to see what they think about windshield tint.

anyways, dont put those cheap drop in kits, youre just going to end up blinding and annoying everyone you pass. If you want brighter and better visibility, get real HIDs.

Windshield tint: BAD IDEA, and illegal in all states. OEM windshield already close to legal limit. Wear sunglasses during the day. If the sun is still bothersome, add tint to the top 4 inches of the windshield only. If you're going for the look, just adding tint to the sides and back will make the windshield look blacked out.

i actually have 60% on my front windshield along with 15% for the sides and rear.
My dad owns a tint shop and i of course work there..
weird thing is tho..the 15% looks like 35% in the daytime for some reason..probably cause of the light coming in through the sunroof..
and reason for having 60% is cause my car is the mule car for testing out ceramic film..it blocks off a LOT of heat..i can barely feel the heat from the sun..

but anyways aftermarket hids are pretty good for the money..
and then later on get the real thing..

Well , the tint. yes i know its illegal however i could care less about the ticket im doing the tint more for a complete look as i have 20 percent all around already and maily because i get wayyy hot in my car during the horrid va summers so im going to tint my sunroof as well . As far as the kelvin rating 6000 is brighter HOWEVER 4000 does have more usable light as the 6 has the blue tint we are all aware of but with the ballasts im buying the 55w burns the bulbs hue out just a bit so the 6000 would end up appearing less blue ( my neighbor has these already ) and as far as scatter with the neighbors car there is none . of course theyre bright but the h7 has more of a fine projection of light as say an h1 which is light all over the place . either way ... thanks everyone for the input ...its appreciated =)

Turn on the A/C. Works much better than tinting!

Are you certain your vent valves are open?

Are you sure you need 55w HIDs? 35w is more than plenty..

I would highly recomend 6000k, if your going for the look of HIDs and still want luminescence benefits. If you really like the "blue" HID look, you can even go with 8000k or 10000k... I have replaced the D2S bulb in my OEM projector housings to 8000k and love the look. I also hve a 6000k in my other car which is just an aftermarket drop in halogen housing kit. 6000k is great i think

And... I also dont think the front windshield tint is a good idea. But... whatever floats ya boat lol
