Drivetrain No overboost!!!
No overboost!!!
i cant get the mini to overboost for some reason im running 11 psi the mods right now catless 3 inch downpipe,3 alta exaust, alta intercooler and all the boost pipes, alta intake ????
You need to reprogram your chip. Otherwise stock boost is 11.6 psi or 0.8 bar including overboost.
How does the booster work..?
When I bought my 07 cooper I had no idea what the crack in the hood was. I still love the speed from the stock engine...and changing gears on the steering wheel...but next year I'm trading for the Convertible..with a crack in the hood...and how do you increase HP with a chip..?

To the OP: Have you done any datalogging? How do you know you aren't inducing overboost at all times?
FWIW: when I built my custom 3" turbo-back exhaust on my '07, I discovered it was much more difficult to induce overboost, due to the change in exhaust aerodynamics and pressure deltas. The MINI's ECU is very "HAL", and it knows when you change the hardware and reacts, usually negatively. Change all the hardware variables and you will leave the ECU in a different state and it will allow a different boost curve that may or may not be beneficial.
