Getting new tires. Benefit from 205 to 215?

Hello,
I'm about to get 4 sets of new tires.
I have stock 17" wheels and see it can fit with slightly bigger size 215.
Is there any benefit or issue?
any comments?
Thanks.

I went from 195/55/16 runflats to 205/50/16 non runflats and it made a world of difference to me. I feel that the vehicle is more predicable and i have improved grip and a better ride quality. whether thats the non runflats or the sizing difference im not sure. possibly both.

Heres the thing, tire talk is like religious debates, everyone has an opinion and what they feel is best but really it comes down to what you want.
Id say call a tire store and ask them if theres any benefit/disadvantage and go on tire rack and research peoples opinions as much as possible.
good luck

You could get less steering response with a wider tire than with a narrow tire. Besides, big rims and wide tires look silly on these cars.

Great point. Also tires do vary between makers even with the same numbers. You can see this on Tire Rack when you look at the specs. Tread width will vary even with the same 215, or other, width.

Check with Alex from Tire Rack, he will give you all the help you need.
