Has anyone added the new BMP racing air filter to their cooper S? I am thinking of purchasing one but would like some feedback first!

Thanks
John

I have owned a pure silver cooper s since the beginning of August and have 2800 miles! No problems but it takes 2 turnovers to start the engine!

Welcome to the site, como!!! I really have no interest in spending any $$ to boost horsepower. I did notice, though, you said you have to turn it over twice to get your car started? That's happened to me once or twice now. Once, I stalled my car while I was sitting in a parking lot waiting for a friend - yeah, I learned a long time ago, when in gear, keep clutch in..but I forgot. Anyway, the car didn't start afterwards! Scared me to death since I had a few people staring at the car and we couldn't possibly DIE right in front of them, right? Yeah, well, I gave him a little gas with the next turn and it started, but it did scare me.

Anyone else experiencing this? Welcome again, como!!

I've been keeping my eye on the BMP site for about a month or so now. They kept saying 'soon', but now they have a price to it, so I guess it must be available. I'd like to see it be a dyno proven 12.9hp increase though.
Anyone know where BMP is situated.........either the UK, or USA? Are we talking US dollars here?
If anyone else knows anything on this filter kit, I'd sure would love to know as well. Thanx.

I ordered a BMP intake for my S. I am supposed to get it the end of this month. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.

I am of course a little skeptical that an intake can product that much HP on its own.

Zwoman - never keep your clutch in! If you're parked waiting for someone, put it in neutral, let the clutch out and use the handbrake. Never keep the clutch in for more than a second or two!!!

Holy S*@t! Does anyone else think the exhaust system they're selling is wat too high priced? $433.00 for ONE muffler! My stocker is working just fine.

I am interested in the cold air intake though. Let's see some dyno test charts.
