Just saying Hi. I'm Jeff from Central Jersey and I'm picking up my 2006 Hyper Blue Metallic MCS tomorrow evening from a dealer in NY State. I plan on being active on here and up for some cruises, events, and meets.
My previous vehicles have all been kind of mundane except for my 1991 VW Corrado G60 that I had when I was in high school. I'm really excited to own a Mini!

Welcome to NAM and good luck with your new MINI. Having an '06 HB MCS myself, I am very partial to the color. What color is your roof and does it have stripes? You can see mine in my signature and my gallery.
After looking at the images in your signature, I've determined the dealer listed the car as the wrong color blue. Sorry I'm not up on my paint colors yet. It's actually Space Blue, roof is body matched along with the mirrors. No stripes either except for some pin stripes that will be taken off soon.

I used to have a Corrado too, though it was a 93 VR6. Was a great car !
My have various MINI events/get-togethers throughout the year so check here periodically for meets and such

Hi Jeff, welcome to the wonderful world of owning a Mini. There is a group on Mini owners from NJ that meets in Hamilton, see the post Friday Mini and movie on the board. There is also a great group PhillyMini.org that has some great Rides and get togethers. Hope to see you at some events.

I love this car. It was a bit rough getting her home, mainly because the car I traded in got a flat on the way there, but luckily I was able to get the tire repaired in time to make it to the dealer. So much for leaving work at 4, wound up leaving the STS Tire at 5:45, but still managed to get to the dealer by 7:20 or so.
Took her for a little joy ride before parking her for the evening.
So far I love how fun the car is to drive, and then I love how if I use cruise control, I can get really good gas mileage.
