R50/53 Is anybody tracking the Don Quijote ship?
My MCS is on the Don Quijote ship that left on the 24th of September. It is scheduled to arrive at the port in California on the 14th of October. I have tried all the search methods that I am aware of and I cannot find the ship anywhere. Maybe it sank . Anybody have any more info on this ship? Thanks.
I can't find it anywhere either. From what others have posted, sometimes you get lucky with a boat that reports every 6 hours (like the Jingu Maru seems to), or sometimes you get some that never do. Looks like we're in the latter. This wait is going to be endless. First an endless trek to Cali on a boat that isn't reporting, then waiting for it to make its way to Denver.

Are you getting the MC or the MCS? Has your dealer told you how long it should take to get from California to Denver? I am in SLC, but have not heard anything from my dealer yet.

I am just curious guys .. how you found out what the name of the ship was, that is transporting your mini. I just kept track of mine through the owners lounge at the mini site. Mine was shipped and is on the east coast some where
Someone posted that you can go to http://www.wina.com and look up on the cargo section. enter your VIN # and it provides all the info as to when your car was taken to the dock in Southhampton, and when it was to set sail, and finally the estimated date to arrive at the port. For the west coast, this ship is due to arrive approx October 14th. Just hope for good weather and that it doesn't sit too long at the port in Port Hueneme, CA.
I sold my MINI two weeks ago and I am awaiting my 04 PW/PW "S" and I ddn't think it would be this difficult. My 87 MR2 is fun but it is no substitute for the MINI Cooper.
Oh well, by the end of October, we should all be driving our new MINI's.

I'm on the Don Q. too. I have had no luck on tracking it either. cayucosteve congrats on finally selling your beauty. It was a pleasure to drive it and consider it as my next vehicle. Kinda funny but it looks like we will be getting our PW/PWs from Long Beach at the same time.

I don't know where you got this WINA (tv or radio station?) site link. The link that should be used is for Wallenius Wilhelmsen, the shipping company. WW Tracking Site
Directions can be found if you scroll down the first page of the Can't wait for September thread (also posted on many other Can't wait for... threads).
Mil76 is right on target about the reporting variance. But even some of the reliable reporters can drop of the screen from time to time. Ultimately, this requires some trust and a whole lot of patience.
Good luck with your wait!

What did you order ?? How exciting !! It looks like we're going to set the example of how a Pepper White MINI should look.
Let me know if you find out when the car's are due to arrive. I'm getting antsy.
Again, Congrats!!
