Annoyed by my local dealership...
I went to get my car's inspection last week since it's the end of Dec. My front license plate mount is broken so I had it off and ordered a no hole mount. But I needed the plate to be in the front for inspection so I screwed the plate into one of the already drilled holes and tightened it so the plate won't be lopsided. The service department went ahead and drilled another hole to screw in the other hole for the license plate without even asking me.

What should I get to fill the holes?

What should I get to fill the holes?
I hate to tell you this but the only way I know to fix a LP Hole is one of two ways. 1. Take it to a body shop. 2. Buy a new front bumper. May be other ways, but this is the only way to remove the holes.
if it is small enough you can probably fill it in from the back.
the plastic welder with the correct rod is probably the best option.
I do not know what these bumpers are made of.
Other options: put tape on the front side, then put fiberglass
resin on the backside. Or some epoxy. Or even that tough
as steel putty stuff.
It should look "OK" if you put a little touch up paint on it.

I just epoxied the hole closed then used a little touch up paint pen from the dealer. You can only see the holes if you are kneeling two feet in front of the bumper starring directly at them.

Here is the website for bumper plugs, I have never used them but it looks like a good product. Also you can search google for bumper plugs and a couple DIY articles popped up from other car forums.

I wish!! But I don't want to walk in and do that not knowing theres no chance in hell they would do that and end up making a fool of myself.
MINI dealerships, or the contractors that perform post-VDC aero kit installations for them, should have stock front bumper covers lying around gathering dust. Ask them for one that can be paint-matched to yr car. that's the least they could do IMO
I see both sides of this! Its a bummer it was done without asking you, however the Tech who installed it probally thought he was doing you a favor. In Texas its the law for you to have front plates and Dealerships are required to install the license plate holder before you pick up your new car. No questions asked! I understand that not all of them do it but they are suppose to.
If anyone needs to buy a MINI in NM go to Faron. He is an anomaly.
Bumper plugs are the way to go. I have Honda bumper plugs for my s2000 and I think they look pretty good (at least better than the pre-drilled holes). I would imagine that aftermarket bumper plugs are just as good.
