Let the Mods begin

Ok, so my new MINI lasted a whole 72 hours stock It was nice out today, so I decided to mess around and put on a few of the parts that I had been collecting while waiting for my MINI to be built.

Carbon fiber hood scoop and black out grill surrounds

Euro armrest

Blacked out c-pillars

I'm going to try and give her a bath tomorrow and take some more pics of her clean. I haven't decided how far I want to take the black out, but I am planning on doing the belt line and fender lights when she is clean and I have a few more minutes of time. Still have to vinyl wrap the bumper piece as well.

Awesome. You just fixed something that I always viewed as a problem on the Clubman - looks awesome with painted c-pillars!

The Euro armrest rocks, I picked one up for my r53 last year. I'm not sure why US cars got the other armrest w/ the lid that won't stay shut...it sucks.

Thank you all for all the great comments. I do have more mods in mind, its just a matter of time and money or waiting for parts that I have already ordered to get here

It really peeved me out that I could only get the silver pillars with my color combo. But, I kinda cheated and just ordered the black ones from the dealer instead of painting them. Another thing I find interesting is when I pulled the old ones off, they were just painted silver over the regular black Or the fact that the bumper piece only comes primered instead of the black or silver to match.

I do agree, however they can only get the same armrest we can from the factory. They have to order it separately as well.

I just noticed something - it looks like the dealership put the plates on top of the US plate brackets (most noticeably the rear).

The rear opening was designed for Euro plates anyway, it might lend to a cleaner look to remove the US bracket and put the Euro plate in its native opening.

Your midnight black Clubman is one of my favorite R55's on here so far. That color is on my list for my next MINI.

Your right about the plates, its a very good idea. Thank you. I simply adore the color, I had a hard time choosing. If you can believe it, I didn't like any other color that MINI offers. The only other color that really got me was the NFR, but I couldn't live without the S. I am so happy with how it came out.

Tell me the angles you would like to see and I will post them here. I need to take some more pics of her anyway. I put on a black/carbon fiber shorty antenna and got my JCW side scuttles in the mail today that I will put on tomorrow during lunch.

oh, nothing specific. i was just curious as to some full car shots straight on the side and maybe a 3/4 from the front and rear?

just some general pictures of the full car to see how it all goes together. i'm also looking at making the rear trim pieces body color.

I have clean car pics of the mods I have already done and a few extra that I have put on this week

I have some side shots for hardingsan, are these good enough? Since my original post I have added the blacked-out belt line, JCW side scuttles, shorty antenna, and tinted the side reflectors. I also have a class next week, for proper application of vinyl; that way I can start wrapping my own parts for a lot cheaper. Although, I fall more in love with this car everyday

Your Mini looks astounding!

Re: carbon fiber antenna. Ebay is a big place; search "mini carbon fiber antenna"?? There are many antennas; recall manufacturer or supplier?

I think my exact search was "mini cooper carbon fiber" or "mini cooper antenna." Surprisingly not many things come up w/ either search.
