cost to install camber plates

How much time? Im looking to put them i and wondering the time quoted? How many hours? Its the ireland Engineering fixed camber plates...

i did this myself

for the first time on the Cooper. It took me 1 hour on the first corner and 30 minutes on the other.

If I have slight mushrooming, what can I do to flatten it back out?

Do nothing to it, unless you like metal fatigue. Use camber plates or under-tower reinforcements to keep it from getting worse.

BTW, you will need a full alignment after installing camber plates...

Thanks... Yes, I was planning to run 1.75-2.0 neg camber in the rear and re-aligning everything...

I’ve removed tower deformation on a few MINIs, none have deformed towers again nor have they experienced any ancillary damage as a result of the manipulation. The hammer on wood method is practiced by the majority of the MINI dealership service departments also; a photo of the procedure can be found in post #6 here http://www.mini2.com/forum/faults-fi...shrooming.html . Drivers are usually more cautious and aware of road hazards and irregularities after repairing damage, which may be the reason why deformation seldom returns.

Wait until 50 or so miles are on the vehicle after IE fixed plate installation before having the alignment. The bearing carrier bushing will collapse a little affecting toe to a slight degree.
