ebrake only on rear left caliper?
ebrake only on rear left caliper?
Can someone please confirm for me that to adjust the ebrake, I only need to tighten the nut on the ebrake cable that goes to the rear left brake caliper? It looks to me like there is an ebrake cable going to each rear brake - but the rear left one is the only one that does anything. Is this correct? Thanks.
What year? Bentley Manual for 2002-2004 says to adjust cable from inside
under e-brake handle. Only if handle pulls up more than seven "clicks" or
if new rear pads are installed.

Year is 2004 and I just installed new pads last night. The ebrake needs to be tightened up because it is certainly more than 7 clicks. Just not sure exactly where to do this - looks to me like it should be done on the rear left caliper...
On the rear right caliper, the cable reaches the little spring device that locks the brake, but it does not actually it touch it. On the left side, the spring device wraps around the end of the cable. Therefore, the ebrake appears to only be on the rear left caliper. I have no idea why it is like this, but is this normal? I am wondering if I should do something about this, but the car came like this so maybe this is how it is supposed to be?? I can upload a picture if that will help...

Hope you can read this. "A" shows where to adjust (above pic) under e-brake handle.
