White turn signals/clear xenons on PW

I just took delivery of my new JCW PW/BLK hardtop and LOVE it. (Will also post in that forum but thougth this might get more looks here) However, I ordered the white turn signals (turns center orange on rears white and makes xenons all clear). Howver, it did not make it to final order and I missed it on review. My MA is super and is willing to change out at dealer gratis. Now I am a bit torn. Can anyone weigh in and help with my decision and/or post pics? Thanks in advance.

I think if you "Ordered" them, you certainly wanted them...Get them!! TheDealer is being very gracious in offering to give you what you want!!
(I have the WTS, but not the Xenons...I just didn't want to spend the $$; I would not have accepted a vehicle that was "ordered" for me, but was missing something that I wanted.)

Yes, the dealer is going the extra mile and I certainly appreciate it!

I love having them, but the look is not complete until you get rid of the egg-yolk look of the amber bulbs and replace them with chrome plated ones from Stealth Auto. The standard bulbs reflect so much amber it looks like you still have the amber turn lights.

Big difference. Something so small, but it really does make a diff.

White turn signal lens are my only regret on my ordered MCS. It wasn't the $100, I just didn't give it enough thought. I really think the white lens makes a big difference, especially in the front. I would jump on the Dealer's generous offer to change them out. I would gladly trade someone who doesn't like the white lens.

They are DEFINTELY a must! I did not get the white turn signals, but it is an option I wanted (I picked my MINI from the lot). I am in the process of getting white turn signals, and let me tell you, the stealth bubls make a HUGE difference! You can also get them for the side repeater signals, and if I am not mistaken the rear signals as well.

I did put them in the front and rears.

For the side scuttle bulbs I just replaced them with white bulbs I got at AutoZone for a few bucks. Who cares if they blink amber or not.

BTW... it's really easy and pretty economical to make your OWN stealth orange bulbs... just spray the regular orange bulbs with a very thin layer of chrome spray paint (you can get Duplicolor for about $5 at the auto parts store) - you use just enough paint to hide the orange color - a dusting, really, but don't want to put on a thick "wet" coat... this makes them pretty much equivalent to the aftermarket silver bulbs, at a fraction of the price. One can of paint will do MANY bulbs...

I bought silver bulbs originally... when one burned out, I made my own, and they're just as good. And much cheaper...

Deed done. My MA picked my car up and took it to dealer and returned. Mind you, I missed this on the final order so they were under no obligation. Kudos to Neil at Global Mini!
I actually did not mind the orange as much as I thought I might and could have been OK but glad that I still had the option. Thanks for the input and I will post some pics in the JCW factory 09 forum soon. Car looks great and driving is a kick!
