Which springs to get?

I'm wanting to lower my car, for appearance mainly. I dont track my car to often. I would like to still have a nice ride. I read that the m7 springs are pretty nice. anybody have any suggestions??

had some eibachs, but never tried anything else, so difficult to recommend above m7
but i would suggest you factor in a set of rear control arms, will pay for themselves in rubber saved over 2 sets of tyres

I have the h-sport springs. They lower the car a perfect amount for daily driving IMO. Ride isnt bad either. I would recommend them!

I just put the h-sports on my 04 MCS. It actually feels like they took the squareness off the bumps. Might want to budget for struts though. Feels like the oem struts do not control the rebound very well.

I have the m7's, they have the best looking drop, tsw is closest to stock so I would expect it to be the most comfortable, many have reported that it has the best handling (linear spring, closer to stock geometry?). I would expect the h-sport to fall somewhere in between.

You will very likely need to get adjustable lower control arms for the m7's, probably on the h-sports, and quite possibly on the tsw's.

I've had both a set of H-sports and a set of M7' springs. I liked the extra drop of the M7's had over the H-sports but didn't like the performance of ether ! Both the M7's and H-sports are progressive rate springs and didn't perform well for me in the Twisty's. The car felt unsettled in corners and weight transfer was sometimes down right scary ! The TSW springs are a liniar type of spring and will perform much better performance wise but since you stated that you wanted the springs more for looks than performance, I doubt you will get the drop your looking for with the TSW springs.

I'm now running a set of coilovers and had I'd known what I know now, I would have saved my money and went with coilovers from the start. Yes, coilovers are a considerable amount of money but, if you add up the cost of new springs and new shocks, its real close dollar wise to some of the coilovers available (Megan,BC). I first bought a set of Megan"s and am now using Cross coilovers !

Running coilovers, I now have the best ride the car has ever had and the performance and looks as well !

+1 for the M7's. I use them and like them. You will definitely need lower rear control arms though. Plus they lower quite a bit, so depending on what rim and tire combo you have, you may have rubbing issues. pauliekeys as some good points also. You may want to save up a few more bucks and just spring for coilovers.

thanks for all the input guys! definitely helps choose. The reason i didnt want coilovers is because i dont know anything about tuning suspension and I'm afraid i would just make things worse..
it would be awesome though!

I wouldn't hesitate - the coilovers will allow you to dial in exactly what you want, springs won't. In short set your ride height and then adjust the shock ride until you get what you want.

BC coilovers can be purchased for around 1,000.00 and many seem to like them.
