16x8 rota rb + 35

Would RB's with +35 offset fit the 08 S. using wheel size 16x8. Anyone out there know? What size tire can I run?

What size tire do you WANT to run? What suspension and ride height are you running? Camber?

I run 16x8's no problem with an even lower offset but I'm running smaller tires to get some stretch for additional clearance.

235 will RUB.. especially for the back. I rubbed often when I ran et42 7.5 w/ 215/45s so 235.. will R-u-b. thats what negative cambers are for tho..

Yah, but there is also a .6" difference between on the offset of those and the wheels you're looking at.

I think with that offset it's gonna be close but probably do-able. What size sidewall are you thinking about getting?

Ficcion runs 17x8 et38 235's on his r56 ...but he isn't lowered which may play a part in it....and he has 3mm more clearance than you will.

With all that said, sticking with the 225's would make things much easier and unless your car is a competitive track car that you take out to races, the additional contact patch of the 235's won't be that noticable.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure.

I usually help people out with much skinnier tires on aggressive wheels. I haven't been able to test out fitting wide tires on wide wheels enough to know how much space is there on the R56 yet.

I know that when you get into the 40's on 8" wide wheels you have to start thinking about INSIDE clearance rather than just outside clearance.
