I'm bored.. (trying to get into 3rd Gear) so let's seeee...
i usually listen to upbeat/mainstream music that just makes you want to bob your head/dance to the rhythm as you drive (except lately for personal reasons);
but anyway the playlist i have on shuffle everytime i enter my car is:

Baby - LL Cool J ft. The Dream
Cookie Jar - Gym Class Heroes ft. The Dream
Cry For You - September
Dangerous - Akon
Disturbia - Rihanna
Forever - Chris Brown
***Frozen - Tami Chynn ft. Akon***
Green Light - John Legend ft. Andre 3000
Hot N Cold - Katy Perry
In The Ayer - Flo Rida ft. Will.i.am & Fergie
***Just Dance - Lady GaGa ft. Akon***
Krazy - Pitbull ft. Lil Jon
Let It Rock - Kevin Rudolf ft. Lil Wayne
Live Your Life - Rihanna & T.I.
Paper Planes - M.I.A.
Shake It - Metro Station
Shut Up And Let Me Go - The Ting Tings
So What - P!nk
Whatever You Like - T.I.
When I Grow Up - Pussycat Dolls

Some of these have the worst lyrics ever but love the beat! ..with bass

In the other car i listen to plain rock/alternative, for some reason different cars give me different music tastes

Also in houston 104.1 On Friday nights and Saturday nights from 10pm-2am they have that commercial free club music playing live or whatever so i usually only turn on the radio for that.

(yes i'm a kid)

Apocolyptica FTW!
Haven't listened to them in years though.

Currently listening to a little bit of everything, you never know when the mood will strike.

Ben Folds new album, but it's not good driving music. I like the soundtrack to Heavy Metal, too. And Ace Frehley's solo album from '78.
But most of the time it's Sirius, Little Steven's Underground Garage. Great station.

Custom MP3 mix (in no particular order); Beatles, Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Randy Newman, Enya, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Boston, ABBA, James Mcmurtry, Country Joe & the Fish, Grateful Dead, Paul Simon, Jackson Brown, ELO, Rascals, David Bowie, Robert Palmer, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, The Who, James Brown, Buckwheat Zydeco, Marc Cohn, Jesse Winchester, Sweet, Simon & Garfunkel, Little Feat, Wet Willie, Moody Blues, Don McLean, America, Meatloaf, Roy Orbison, and many that I have surely overlooked. Some mix huh?

And I've given away my age not by what is included but what isn't.

XM radio, mostly Fred, chnl-44, 80s new wave; Deep Tracks, chnl-40, 60s album rock; The Verge, chnl-52, emerging Canadian rock / new wave; and XMU, chnl-43 new music. XM radio is the closest thing to the free-form FM programming from the late 60s, and I enjoy listening to new music and artists. It's also good to hear the old stuff, which is once again possible thanks to satellite radio. Favorite new band: The New Pornographers, who steal from all of the above, and still manage to sound brand new.

He drives a mini *and* listens to the new pornographers, someone has good taste

Being a Canadian, it's pretty cool to see some people south of the border listening to our bands! A few other awesome canadian bands you might want to check out if you haven't already are Metric, Wolf Parade and Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene (among others i'm forgetting at the moment).

Also, the lead singer from the new pornographers (A.C. Newman) has a great solo album called Slow Wonder that you might want to check out.

I guess that at least partially answers the question as to what's playing in my Mini as well

Sex on Fire is the best!! Ever since I heard them on SNL I cant stop listening to them!! I would list all of my favorites, but I have close to 600 songs on my iPod. BTW, if you guys are using your iPods in your Minis I totally recommend the Griffin Autopilot. It is soooo easy to use, and charges your iPod with one cord. BTW, I forgot to mention the best Mini Cooper rap song ever-
T-Pain's Bartender!! "Mini Coop Sittin On Dubs..."

Heres a link: http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/autopilot

Yeah, it'd be nice if we can get this thread stickied, along with "automatic vs. manual", "Justacooper vs. MCS" and "my hoodscoop melted"
