I just got my EVO rim and tires (215-35-18) set install on my MINI but it look so open because the space between and the fender is about 2” :???:

Now if I haven’t lower my MINI the car looks bad. L My question to all of you is
If I put in 225-40-18 tires on my MINI with that fit and am I going to have any problems with my fenders. From the look of it I think the 225-40-18 tires will fit nicely. Or should I just go ahead and order a spring set?

Please help:

215/35-18 is the closest you're going to get to the OE diameter. Going to a 225/40-18 will rub like crazy because it's too tall and wide, almost regardless of your wheel offset. You can cram 225/35-18's, but they will also rub because they're too wide (caddman has this size on SSR Comp's, and his rubs lots)

You've already got the right tire size, now go buy yourself a set of springs You've heard the saying "Once you get bit by the mod-bug, you have to scratch it!"

Ryan is exactly correct! 215/35 is ideal for an 18

I would stick with this size and then try to adjust the wheel space with using coil overs or springs for looks or performance. Rubbing and speedometer issues creep in and cause trouble once you go too extreme. Plus the added weight doesn't do much positive.
