What Are Your Plans For The MINI?

This just got posted on my local car club forum thought I would carry it over.

What do you have planed for your mini modification wise in the future?

I'll start:

Not in any order -

Here is the car:

Tune: Picture N/A (est, $750)

Custom Roof basket & rear seat delete (rack pictured):

JCW front bumper: ($450)

H&R coilovers: ($1000)

Xenons: (est. $800)

LSD: ($500 used - $1200 new)

KO4: ($750)

If I ever have 2k lying around:

I could go on and on but I'll stop there. Total = $6500.

Thanks, it's my design. Hopefully I'll have time to build it before the new year.

My MCS should get to me sometime in Nov. Tint,JCW Stage I, possibly a JL Stealthbox(Ill see if the hi-fi will suit my needs in stock form). What can you tell us about that turbo? That caught my eye. Easy swap, how much more boost, safe for stock internals?

There is nothing to tell yet. There is no good tuning for our engine yet so there are no turbo upgrades yet. However the ko4 pictured is made by the same company (borg warner) as our stock turbo and is the next size up. Our ko3 being arount 46mm and the ko4 being 51mm.

I'm feeling like a gear-head school dropout here as my planned mods are cosmetic only:

Clear-bra (Venture) paint protectant film
Tint (Wincos)
Stripes (haven't decided yet)

Ohh....my one performance mod was buying the S instead of the just-a-cooper as I had initially planned.

I have been thinking about starting a "performance mods that don't affect fuel economy" thread.....but this seems like a good place to get that going?

When it gets here I will de crome and replace with black or CF. Light weight black wheels and some good tires. Then possibly JCW stage 1 and JCW springs and struts.

No plans whatsoever...I vented my mini-enthusiast itch into other directions.

Same steps for me, too, eventually. Also, I'll probably be adding some matte black bonnet and boot stripes to offset the Astro Black paint job. then I'll probably black out the chrome. I'll see how the suspension works out for a while, then see about upgrading from there.

And...lots and lots and lots of miles.
