Rear fogs "Brake Light Mod"

I plan on doing this mod, and will probably do it at the same time as I do the install on the JCW Aero kit. I ordered my MINI with the rear fogs, so those are already in place.

I believe there are a few different kits out there, does anybody have any intel on which ones have any advantages/disadvantages to them? Do any of them work in different ways, i.e. some are always on "low" then light up on brake application, others "off" till braking, etc? Or is that something that I will have control over?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

They also have the 'pulsing' brake light kit.

These look like good kits -- I like Minspeed's offering, too -- but has anyone actually installed one? I'd love to know if folks are pleased with the way it works (namely, to keep tailgaters at bay, etc.) and if it really was super easy to install.

Check this old thread out, start at post#69 for some info and impressions on the Minspeed kit install:

I have the Minspeed kit installed and I don't have any problem with tailgaters, although that might also be a byproduct of how I drive.

Kind of a follow up question, now that i think about it.

I ordered it with the rear fogs. I also am going to add on the JCW aero kit. Will it incorporate the same lights, or does it come with new ones? Would anybody happen to know?
