Damn dude.... it was 89 yesterday with 88% humidity here in Ft. Lauderdale. Winter here is still 4 months away, then it will be about 55* for a few days.

Impressive for September.
I'm easily overcome by cold. I'm in Hawaii but I lived 4 years in Boulder CO.
Just wait a few hours and it will warm up- happens everytime.
I can do the MINI popsicle look but only if I park my MINI in a huge Matson freezer container.

Yeah, this week Denver will be back in the 70s. It was just a tease. But I did get to drive through some snow over Berthoud Pass on the way back down to Denver.

And while it was in the 30s up in the hills, it got up to a nice and comfortable 59 yesterday back in Denver.

Sram-- Good luck with the snow to come. I did OK last year in my MCS, 16" Dunlop runflats, (DS/DS like yours). I drive mine everyday, in every weather. I've always found that if you know your car and it reacts with consistancy, you can perform well in most all road conditions. God speed.

Thanks CooperBeage.

I am interested to see how the MINI will do in real snow. My wife has a WRX wagon, so that is our "Mountain Ride" in the winter, but I still plan on using my MCS for daily driving around Denver in the snow. Should be fun.

Love the pics. I loved living in the mountains when I was but a wee lad. If you like it cold just come to MN this winter. -50 F without the windchill. That is about the time we close our schools for a snow day. Try sticking your tongue to a flag pole when it is that cold.

From personal experience, the MINI with the run flats doesn't do well with more than about 4 inches of snow. At that point traction becomes iffy at best and a few more inches later and you have clearance issues.

I had mine for the Presidents Day storm last year, we got 24 inches of snow in 36 hours. We couldn't move the car for 4 days!

Hi mbabischkin-

Do you have the performance or all season run flats?

I just took delivery of my Mini 10 days ago so haven't driven her in the snow. I've assumed that my regular Cooper with 15 inchers should be pretty good in shallow snow but, as mentioned, the clearance will be pretty low for anything at all deep. I think my Saab, which now seems comparatively like a huge car, will be my primary wintermobile. Scandinavians like snow. The English, well, let's just say my Mini shouldn't mind a bit of rain.

Nothing like driving on a cold afternoon. The car takes off more like a rocket in the colder temps. constant cold air intake.

inioway: I actually sold my Saab 9-3 to get the MINI. I does seem like a monster comparitively. The Saab was awesome in the snow, though!

Tw0MINIs: Thanks, yeah I noticed that up in the hills. Cold weather = faster MINI!
