Need HELP on ONE thing

So,
I need help deciding on one thing. First let me start by saying my MINI should be here any day now it's pepper white with english oak trim and I can't decide which floor mats I want (I know it sounds crazy). Should I get the pinstriped ones (cream or dark brown) or the JCW checkered flag mats? Sport or class? I need opinions please! Thanks in advance!

+1 if you're especially obsessed w/cleanliness. You've really got to stay on top of white/light colored carpeted floor mats.

If you insist on carpet, I would choose cream pinstripes. I can see them looking nice with the English oak trim.

The rubber mats seem the way to go here.

MINI Rubber Floor Mats

Never cared for rubber floor mats, but these are high quality, fit well and don't slip or move.

Added bonus is that the design will hold an entire spilled cup of coffee within borders.

Had not mentioned them and was surprised to see them (properly installed, front & back) on delivery.

+1 for the rubber mats. I got mine from Classic MINI for 20% off MSRP plus a few bucks for shipping.

I also have a Pepper White. IMO, plain black carpet for summer, rubber for winter.

If you live in an area with a lot of rain/snow/mud I'd get the rubber mats. They are great in keeping your carpet from stinking.

I can tell you though that the rubber mat will not contain a 20oz Coke.

Cocomats are the only way to go IMO. You can get them to match any interior, and they make the car look better inside (unlike rubber mats). They just don't ever look dirty. I've had mine for 6 months and have had them out of the car once and they look like the day I put them in there. I give them my highest recommendation. I had the OEM black carpet mats and they are completely worthless, a waste of $100. I'd give them away.

Thanks guys for all the info. I am going to ask for the rubber mats with the purchase of the car (as I feel if I'm paying 30k for a MINI it should come with floor mats!) But the reason I ask about the pinstripe and checkered flag ones is because I'm looking for something to dress up the interior. I have rubber mats in my current car and love them because all you have to really do is wash em off but it always feels like something is missing with them in there. Which is why I want something a little more dressy for the summer months here (which is most of the year as I live in southeast Virginia). So I think I'm going with the pinstriped ones with the dark grey to go with the english oak. Thanks all for solidifying the need for the rubber mats though and thanks for all the help. Now if only my MINI would hurry up and get to my dealer

Just be sure that the 'Velcro' disk set is properly installed on the driver side mat.

Even if you get the carpet mats for up front, go for the rubber boot mat. Anything that spills from your groceries will be contained, and easy to clean up.

I'm driving a PW/PW cooper. For summer it's the pinstripe mats (they do match up nicely with the PW). For winter it's the rubber mats (only way to go in bad weather). Have to agree with Pilotart on the velcro and jgarner53 on the boot mat.

Peace !

I'm going with the standard carpet in the summer and rubber for the winter. As I also live in Virginia, I don't think the summer months will be too hard on the carpet.
