Retro interior mod / rainyday photos

Here are pics with the new/old "race wheels" and new NON runflat tires. I cannot begin to say how much better these tires are. We will NEVER have runflats again. I also added some pics at the bottom of our custom dash that my husband pinstriped for me as a suprise one day! Enjoy

Think if I mailed you my dash parts your hubby would paint some stripes on them for me? The dash parts are all painted and ready to stripe.

Your car looks cool. The you have alot of decals and made it look totally pro. Too many don't plan the final look and there stickers look out of place.

Thanks... we had a good time putting the stickers/stripes/and various bits on. I drive it everyday like this... people look at me... cops pull me over for no reason. Still, its worth it.

We painted it using flat black engine enamel. Just a basic sand and spray can job. Came out pretty good. We lost the stock hoodscoop on the interstate one day and the only one i could get that day from the dealer was chrome and that just looked rediculous.

Well--- I'll be putting her on the track on October 12 for the first time since getting new racing tires, a 22mm Alta sway bar and some increased negative camber on the front end. I must say, if you want to track this car the run flat tires are the biggest pile of crap you can possibly imagine rolling on. Dear God what the hell was MINI thinking when they decided to put these things on their cars? I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER buy run flat tires again and any car I buy with run flats will be immediatly relieved of them. I'm also hoping that the stiffer rear sway bar along with some increased negative camber will help with the crazy oversteer that is just built into all front wheel drive cars. I feel like I've been manhandling the car forefully around the track instead of driving it like I know I can. Sometimes I actually talk out loud to it when I corner in ernest attempts to decrease the understeer. This is not effective at all. Rear sway bars, however, are effective.
I have big hopes for my newly moded bundle of joy at my next AutoX event.
I'll keep everyone posted as to how we do.

I agree. It looks like a sponsored car. Most cars w/ lots of decals look like someone decided to put one sticker on, then another, then another and it does not look good at the end. If i saw the car at the track I wouldn't know if it was a daily driver or what. Well put together.

thank you very much for the comments. We did a lot of planning to get it to come out right... I hate cars that look like they made 20 trips to autozone for stickers.
