Don't want to reveal someone else's secrets prematurely, but something similar is in the works. Watch MCO for details!

I'm with CooperSpeed; it seems to break up the nice natural greenhouse effect the MINI has. It makes the car look even taller and shorter

I'd do the rear window as well as the sides. It's always fun to see something new and different!

Wouldn't be for me... but interesting to see. The Mini logo in the center of the panel is a bit unsettling... still, it would need something.

The yellow color is a bit angular and needs something to break up the lines like a swooping checkerboard pattern or something coming from the roof so that it looks integrated. Another idea is to continue the color over to the rear window and have a cutout design for the window so you don't have it all solid but can see through it. I have also seen on windows a see through design of patterns that look somewhat solid but you can peer through them at a certain angle.
So some sort of mix of pattern and colors would help to soften the stark color change and shape of the rear window being yellow might help.

Overall I think it looks OK- it would darken the interior some unless you have the sunroof. It is unique and the MINI logo is good.

If I wanted a PT Cruiser, I'd just run down to the local Mopar dealership. Ix-nay that MI-nay.

ylwjkt, welcome to MCO!!!!

Interesting post. I'd have to say, I wouldn't do that to my car, but I like seeing many different, individually outfitted MINIs and this one sure is!

I'd say though as others have suggested, that doing the rear window as well would probably look better, IMHO. Maybe also add some swooping black lines across sides and back, such as from level of front window sills swooping up along the sides to rear spoiler.

Maybe have open cutouts in the shape of MINI to maintain some visibility.

Thanks fro the post!
M.

Don't think the MINI logo is big enough.
Blind person might miss it.

less is more

after looking at it again... a few comments, My Opinions none the less... so don't get too bent.

Are you recieving any compensation for that Huge MINI billboard?
If not, why brand your car with it... AGAIN? The logo is not THAT cool.
Also, I think it looks cheap and horrible. Maybe for the Shriner's Memorial Day Parade it would be keen, and sponsored by your local Mini dealership.

It's too Much Yellow on a flat surface that is aesthetically, annoying and in your face.
and again, that logo is slapping me when I look at it while the yellow is assaulting my eyes.
The LY especially NEEDS that window to show off the styling and shape of the mini. Even better is to tint the windows or put black vinyl on it instead of what is there now.

I think I'm done.

One more. UGLY

and Yes it is not the First
TVA aka GotMini.com did this over a year ago. But for some reason it was not so bad...

It's got to be the window cutout

and it's for sale in california now for just under $22k

That MINI has been around for a while.

And YES, they ae just yellow vinly stickers covering the windows.
I read an article about it in one of my graphics magazines.

I don't remember which company owned it, but it was for sale.
I believe it was even posted on ebay.

I don't really care for it.

A MINI is not a "50's style Panel Wagon".
The PT Cruiser can pull it off, but not the MINI.

A MINI is whatever you want it to be. Make it your own. If you want it to be "Fast and Furious" - go for it. If you always wanted to be a pirate when you grew up - make it that instead. But make it your own. My vinyl work was custom made to my specifications, and the colors match perfectly. Even if there is a kit out there, it will never be the same as having something done specifically for your car.

Geeez - ask for comments and now the crowd is getting all riled up. Be bold - be different - be one of a kind! Isn't that why we all have a MINI?

I like it... nice match, neatly done, distinctive.

I do like the idea of also putting SOME color on the rear window, perhaps just enough to cover the blacked-out area of the glass. Round the corners of the rear window opening a bit to eliminate the "blockiness", as I think it was called above.

The nice thing is, if you dont like it, it peels right off!

How about a graphic on the rear window that says "SMALL parcel delivery"

I remember seeing something like that a while ago, it might be the same one.

I still think it's ugly.
