I am STARVING! and I have duty tonight. ugh... did you get the flyer I put on your car? I was going to write a note but figured this way you could make photocopies of it and not have to worry about handing out a note that said "Hi Art! Have fun at work!" to people you didn't know.

 

Well, it's not actually tonight, knucklehead. It's on the 26th.

And yes, got the flier. My first thought was, "Oh no he didn't forget this was my car."

 

Its the 26th?! I don't have duty that day too, do I?

 

I am still going to try and make it. Best I could gather off the map is that Sonic on Wheeler Rd is off I-20? Is that correct and what time do you plan on eating? Also wish you guys could come up Sep 6th for the FoodLion Auto Fair, at Lowes Motor Speedway. I know its a long drive but we will help you shine them up after arrival.

 

Yeppers! Take exit 195 off of I-20 and go left at the bottom of the exit. Charlotte sounds like a blast. Hopefully we can make it up there.

 

I have no idea. What's a good time? 1800? 1900?

I'll be at the Dragon over Labor Day Weekend, for the Blimey Tour of Terror / Beerfest.

 

the arrival time is 1800 so I figure by the time everyone gets settled we will probably be eating around 1900.

Got some home construction going on that day and the next; but, hope they'll be out of the house in time for us to motor over to Augusta. It'll be Jim and Sheroyn, driving TILLEY. I know the couple from Aiken are trying to start up a chapter...are they involved here....do you all know each other? Hope to see you there.

 

Right now it is Jimmy, Art, and yours truly. Jimmy is the brains, I tell the jokes, and Art gets the girls.

 

Bob and I have actually met in person (once), and I feel as if I've known Jimmy all my life, given his great racing career and reincarnation as a Mini owner.

Goooood range of Minis. Weather was agreeable.

We need a big flag, to stake into the ground out front. We had, what, three other Minis just go driving by?

 

Yes. It was a good time though. Spent about an hour just swapping stories and checking out cars. Thanks go out to Angie and her crew at Sonic. Hopefully we can get even more out next time! (and hopefully it is drier)

Glad you guys had a good time. We were 8 inches behind in rainfall now only 1 and 1/3 if that tells you how much it rained. We my cataracs and the bright lights at night I do not see very well so I decided not to make the trip. Hope you have another one next month and we will try to make it. Great pic's and cool cars! Luke
