Hey all! Its been a blast hanging out with you guys and we look forward to more events. Thanks for putting up with our non-MINI owning selves and allowing the "ugly duckling" (aka-the Z-car) to participate in the dog friendly excursion this past weekend. We are going to try and show up to each event in a different vehicle-so far its been my dad's TR6 and Moose's 280zx. We still have 2 cars, a truck and a motorcycle to go haha. Moose is working Sunday the 24th for the Shaker Square show, but I am going to see if my neighbor wants to come with me. She said she LOVES MINIs and I told her about the group.

I hope I did the photo attachment right....can we say big Moose in a little car?? John, how are those shocks holding up??

Here it is...Moutaineer Memories. This quilt got me second place at the Lake Farmpark show in 2007, first place at the Geauga County Fair in 2007 and now Best of Show in the Lake County Fair in 2008 (the fair runs this week). Each block of this quilt was obtained from different quilt stores in WV. 12 shops covering the entire state and bless Moose for driving me (we at least went white water rafting and horseback riding too-it wasn't all quilt shops)! As a side note, the oatmeal cranberry cookies I made for the dog-friendly weekend only placed third, and a photo I took on vacation in the Dominican Republic placed first...

 

12 shops covering the entire shop looks like a good use for a MINI! You were robbed on the cookies, sounds like you need more pratice. We will all be taste testers if it is needed

 

Maybe we can make a combined quilting/MINI group where shop hops are planned as MINI outings-haha. We can have a contest to see who can find fabric to best match their MINI. I made a new cookie recipe today-merengue with coconut, pineapple, and crushed almonds folded in...come over soon or Moose will have eaten them all!
