Folding Wind Deflector

I have lost my instructions that came with my OEM Wind Deflector , would anyone be kind enough to scan their instructions and e-mail them to me

Thanks

I don't remember ever getting any instructions with mine. The key seems to be when folding it up, press one of the side spring loaded levers in to allow it to fold.... (it took a while for me to figure that out, standing around with a rather dull look on my face.)

Storage Case Straps?

Has anyone found a good description of how best to use the straps on the storage case? The straps appear to be designed for some specific use, but there was nothing in my original instructions about the case and I can't seem to figure it out. I tend to just toss it in the bottom of the boot.

Anyone?

Here's The Deflector Owner's Manual

As others said, the instructions for the wind deflector are included in the MINI owner's manual.

So here's the pages (there were only two pages). Kind of sparse and unclear, but better than nothing.

They don't come included with the car. You can buy one from any MINI dealer, but they are expensive (about $350 list price). Used ones come up occasionally on eBay or the forum marketplace from people selling their R52, or check the discounted price at Classic MINI: https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/classicauto

It's worth it for driving with the top down at over 40 mph.

two movies with instructions how-to-fold

One from a german Mini2 club forummember
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9bk8...layer_embedded

And an official movie from BMW , but it uses the same type of winddeflector:

This really is a non-intuitive type of engineering. You really got to learn the trick. Even if you don't understand the German language, the first movie says it all!
