Welcome To the Drive-In Theater!

The First Drive-In Theater was invented by Richard M. Hollingshead. He worked out the details by hanging a sheet for a screen in his backyard and mounting a 1928 Kodak projector on the hood of his car to project onto a screen he had nailed to trees in his backyard. After many tests the Drive-In was born.


This movie night is going to be a little more modern (and cost a little more than a quarter per person) but it promises to be just as much fun with a little bit of nostalgia mixed in. Bring your Mini and your friends or even your family if you want for a night at the movies. We might not get those old car speakers but we will still have the concession snack bar reel between shows so it's what you call a real intermission.

What to Bring:
1. Something to keep you busy while waiting (there is no leaving after paying)
2. Something to eat
3. A Lawn Chair to sit in if you wish to sit outside your car
4. A Portable Radio if you plan on sitting outside your car during the movie

What Movie? As with all theatres they will not have the updated movie listing until a week prior to the showing. I will send out an updated flyer with the movie information at that time.

Meet-Up: 6pm at the Burgerville on 99W. DO NOT BE LATE. In order to park together we must arrive together so we will be caravanning in.

Directions: From Hwy 217 take 99W towards Newberg. Pull into Burgerville at 2514 Portland Rd Newberg, OR 97132-1956.

Fee: Admission to the drive-in is $7.00 per adult, $4.00 per child ages 6-11, and free for children under 6. For cars with a single occupant, the entry fee is $11.00. CASH ONLY
