Could i replace my 2005 R50 Mini cooper engine with this one to successfully have a supercharge on it? or is there a "safe" supercharge kit for the r50?
Please let me know, i'm really considering this option,

You could the swap but it requires the R53 ECU and related sensors. And the hood to clear the intercooler if you want to retain the OE design. And the Getrag to bolt to it. By that point, you're over $10k into a car that's gonna have no more power than a stock S would have to begin with for not much more. And that's just in parts, not including labor. For that much, you're better off, like 98% of these kind of endeavors, getting an R53 if you want a faster MINI. And as far as a "good" supercharger design, Jan at RMW has an R50 Rotrex kit in the works designed to deal with the high compression of the NA motor.
Well imo i would just buy a bluefin superchip, instead of that. It will run you about 600$ instead of 6000, and you will feel the increase promptly.. i am so satisfied with mine.. :D, and thats just a re-map.. :d also do a new exhaust system, and a nice induction filther, that should give you the extra power.. atleast thats about what theres to be done in the power department with an r50, without blowing your wallet. Else as said before just buy an r53. :S:D
If you are REALLY considering an engine swap, then you may want to call Jan at RMW. I think you could get a much better engine from him with a standalone ecu and just drop it in for uhh...still like $10k, but you would have a crapload more power if the getrag 5spd could take it.
Its all dependent on how much money you want to spend:
Bolt on CAI intake, catback, ecu remap etc
- some gains in power and cheaper, but you still wont be making wat a MCS makes
R50 Rotrex Kit
- still in the making and will be costly, but it will really liven the R50 up. Apparently it should run with the stock internals as its only running 6 psi of boost
Engine swap from Jan
- he has a 2.0 Mini engine which will be insane, but also around $12,000.
Personally I am just going for the first two I mentioned, getting the R50 engine going crazy, then giving it a turbo once I am positive the engine can handle it.
