Ordering PRIMA tomorrow- cleaning plan needed for soon-to-be OCDetailer

I'm hoping to place my order tomorrow with DP. I'm going to call and make the order because i have a question

Anyway, i've washed my MINI before and used some "over-the-counter" interior cleaner but have never owned/used any 'special'/Prima products before. I'm getting the starter bundle and thinking about a few extras. Can a fellow OCDetailer help me out with making a game plan using what i'm ordering to make my '08 ds/b MINI be extra shiney and clean?!

The Paradise Starter Bundle I includes:

Prima Mystique Auto Wash
Thumbless Sheepskin Wash Mitt
Paradise Waffle-Weave Drying Towels
Prima Epic Wax
Paradise Skinny Applicator Pads
Paradise Platinum Premium Microfiber Buffing Cloth
Prima Slick, quick detail spray
Paradise Monster Fluffy Premium Microfiber Buffing Cloth

Extras-
Hydro?
Banana Gloss?

Thanks!
-Heather

Definitely Hydro!! I would also look at DP's website for Clarity, Glass Cleaning Cloth, Amigo, Swirl (you may not need it now, but get it just in case), 303, I'm sure I've forgotten something, but it will get you started anyway.

Haven't gotten Banana Gloss yet, but I've not run out of my Polish (Amigo) or Wax(Epic) yet.

That's a good start, of course, Heather.

Glad to see yet another motivated OCDetailer on the board.

Honestly, you can't be an OCDetailer though without a PC random orbital buffer and the accompanying pads and polish.

Once you get used to working with these products you have and are ready to take the final, big step to OCDetailing, let us know and we'll help you get started in that direction.

Yes, that's a big step for many who've never used a buffer.

That'd be me...and i think i'm quite a while from that. Who knows though. I could go completely nuts when i get my Prima order.

If i order today/tomorrow, any idea how long it will take to arrive typically?

Also, i'm researching the grit and dirt guards. The dirt guard is the "new and improved" grit guard, right?

Most of my DP orders arrive in about three business days. And i'm allllllll the way on the East Coast.

Dirt guard, grit guard... potAto, potaaato... pretty much all the same, IMO. Just as long as you use one.

I'm thinking I might make a similar order. Can anyone comment on Epic vs. Banana Gloss?

Additional question:
I just recived my first Primo/hydro order --do I just put it over my clear bra or keep it off of it?

Thanks

Epic is a synthetic wax and fairly long-lasting... about six months.

Banana Gloss is a much thinner, easier to apply and remove product. It contains just a bit of natural carnuba so it's going to add depth to your paint (especially noticeable on darker colors). Because it's thin, it's only going to last a few weeks.

I recommend both. Epic as your long-term wax. BG every few weeks to add depth and extra protection.

Treat your clearbra just like your paint. Polish it, wax it.
