Prestige or Morristown advice
Prestige or Morristown advice
I'd like to order a 2009 MC-convertible (expected in Spring '09, my first MINI). I live midway between Prestige and Morristowm. Can someone recommend an MA? Any helpful advice is very much appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I got mine at Prestige. Even though my MA is not there anymore, you really can't go wrong with either dealership. I was in the same boat as you. It's just that I happened to go with Prestige.
I suggest you stop by both dealership and talk to the staff. Ask when they're gonna start taking orders. See what kinda vibe they give out. Good luck

Go to Morristown!!!
See Jerry Filippatos and tell him Mike with Mellow Yellow Cooper with Black Jack roof sent you! I just picked mine up on Saturday(pics in gallery).
I went to Prestige first but felt I was treated better at Morristown.
Good luck!

We went to Prestige and Lenny was my MA. He was awesome. Their service is great!! I was in the same position, half way in between. We get our parts at Morristown tho.
I worked with Lenny at Prestige while I was sorting out what I wanted too. (I ended up finding my JCW used in Pennsylvania though) - Lenny knew his stuff, was patient, and had the appropriate degree of eclectic-ness to sell MINIs.
Also just used the Service department. A1 rating from me. I had them do an inspection of my new toy this morning. They knew I was an enthusiast and recommended some repairs that would be be good for a DIY'er, and for the ones that were more involved (like dropping the subframe for some control arm work) they knew to ask whether I wanted stock or aftermarket parts where appropriate. That's service I've never gotten from any other kind of dealership.

I bought Angus at Prestige and when I went to pick him up they ordered the wrong wheels "wanted the Rotators but got the five spoke instead"
My MA Ashton quickly went and talked to the sales manager 5 minutes later she asked me to come with her to the service dept and shown me the 16" 7spokes with run flats and said how about these. UH uh uh gulp "Absolutely!"
OK n/c she says. So I would highly recommend them. Great MA and I'm glad I drove the 1-1/2hrs to get there. I originally went to Princeton and was treated like I was'nt good enough. I hear good things about Morristown though. Go where you feel comfortable.

I had a great buying experience (they had the earliest production slot and I was in a hurry) at Prestige with Dan as my MA (he is MiniStupidFun on here as previously mentioned) but get parts and service from Morristown as they are closer to one of my offices. I've been pleased with both and echo the comments that its really going to be something minor (like first production slot) that will have to help you make up your mind.
Thanks again,
Rich
At Prestige we just don't care about making $$$, we also care about supporting the MINI community as well....look at all the events we put on and the special fund raisers that we do.....within a month we will be launching a "community" and events website....please stay posted I will let everyone know....HAPPY MOTORING!!!!!!
